RESIDENCE FOR PUNJAB MINISTER, GURUGRAM
Residence for Punjab Minister, Gurugram :
The client, retired army officer decided to built a house in D- block of Palam Vihar for his family on occasional visit to Delhi. There permanent residency is in Chandigarh. The requirement was simple as compared to the plot size. This gave us a lot of opportunity to play with the space available.
Out of 4 bedrooms, only one was planned on the ground floor. All other were planned on the first floor. The staircase was open on one side with a skylight in the double height atrium above it. The ground floor was on an open format for the family. The formal (drawing) room designed
was much smaller as compared to the informal family lounge.
All the bedrooms had attached washrooms/dressers. The glass bricks were used in the skylight as well as in the washrooms.
